Promoting VAS partnerships with mobile operators

In the course of our work to drive investment and innovation in mobile for development (M4D), we frequently hear from entrepreneurs, non-profits and others that they don’t know enough about how to engage with mobile operators to launch M4D services. Therefore, we are actively working to understand how our diverse community of stakeholders can partner with mobile operators more effectively. To this end, we recently received over 75 applications from amongst over 800 operator representatives who work in value added services (VAS) to apply to attend a closed workshop at the GSMA M4D Summit. The session is designed to better understand the role of VAS in customer attraction and engagement and understand how those with innovative M4D services can best work with mobile operators for mutual benefit. Sincere thanks to all those who applied; the attendees have been selected and will be informed today. Insights derived from both the application survey and the workshop itself will inform publicly available research, which we look forward to sharing with the whole community over the coming months.

Those working in VAS for mobile operators wishing to be considered for future events should complete the application form here.
